TERMS OF SERVICE – BUILT TO ROAM RENTAL CO.

SECTION 1: RENTAL GEAR TERMS OF SERVICE

This section applies exclusively to equipment rentals (camping, overlanding, and related gear) from Built to Roam Rental Co.

1.1 Gear Reservation & Payment

  • Gear is only reserved upon full payment via credit card.
  • Quotes and proposals do not guarantee availability.

1.2 Delivery of Gear

  • Rental begins at first delivery attempt or upon successful delivery.
  • Lessee must inspect gear immediately and report issues within 24 hours via email to info@builttoroamrentalco.com (photos required).
  • Certain items (fridges, kayaks, propane tanks, and tire carriers) require in-person acceptance; others may be delivered without a recipient present (photo proof of delivery provided to the phone number listed on the order).
  • Lessee assumes full responsibility for gear upon delivery (with or without Lessee present).

1.3 Use & Maintenance

  • Gear must be used as intended and returned clean and undamaged (excluding normal wear).
  • No unauthorized repairs or alterations are permitted.

1.4 Damage, Loss, or Theft

  • Lessee must immediately report any damage or loss.
  • Lessee is liable for full replacement or repair costs.
  • Items not returned within 4 days of the due date will be considered abandoned/stolen.

1.5 Late Fees

  • 25% of total rental order per day, up to 4 days.
  • After 4 days, the gear shall be deemed abandoned or stolen, and additional recovery and replacement fees apply.

1.6 Return of Gear

  • Must be returned in good condition to the original delivery location (unless otherwise agreed).
  • Gear will be inspected upon return for damage, excessive wear, or cleanliness.

1.7 Insurance

  • Lessee is responsible for insuring the rented equipment during the rental period.

1.8 Termination & Cancellation

  • Either party may cancel with 48 hours’ notice.
  • Cancellations under 48 hours before delivery incur a 15% restocking fee.
  • Lessor may terminate this agreement immediately if Lessee violates any term herein.

SECTION 2: SALES & SERVICE TERMS

This section applies to gear/parts sales, installation, and vehicle service work performed by Built to Roam Rental Co.

2.1 Labor Warranty

  • Labor is warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  • No warranty on labor for customer-supplied parts.
  • Labor warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • Warranty is void in cases of abuse, harsh driving, or conditions deemed outside normal use.

2.2 Gear/Parts Warranty

  • Built to Roam Rental Co. does not provide warranties on gear/parts.
  • All gear/part warranties are handled directly by the part manufacturer.
  • Customers are responsible for initiating manufacturer claims.

2.3 Refund & Cancellation Policy (Sales/Service)

  • 10% restock/cancellation fee applies to canceled services or part orders.
  • Any shipping/freight costs associated with returned parts are non-refundable and may be charged back to the customer.
  • Some gear/parts may be non-returnable, depending on manufacturer return policies (typically 30 days).

2.4 Service Modifications & Pricing

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Built to Roam Rental Co. may modify, suspend, or discontinue services or products at any time.
  • Built to Roam Rental Co. is not liable for losses resulting from such changes.

SECTION 3: GENERAL TERMS (APPLIES TO BOTH RENTALS AND SALES/SERVICE)

3.1 Indemnification

Lessee/Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Overland 4 Heroes LLC dba Built to Roam Rental Co., its agents, and employees from all claims, damages, or legal liability arising from the use of gear, services, or products.

3.2 Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

3.3 Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, written or oral.

3.4 Acceptance of Terms

By clicking “I accept the Terms of Service” or signing electronically or in person, the Lessee/Customer agrees to be legally bound by the appropriate terms above regardless of whether the terms have been read in full.
